What is a 1T?
I bought this 1T today and these are the measurements I took of the shirt I wanted to make it fit better: 5 year old: Height 31 inches, weight 27lbs, length 25.5 inches, chest 18 inches 4-year-old: Height 30.5 inches, weight 46lbs, length 29 inches, chest 20 inches, waist 17 inches, inseam of the 29-inch pants inseam of 3T would have been perfect for my daughter but she had outgrown it in time for her birthday.
I will be making this shirt with slightly longer inseams and sleeves that are at least an inch longer than the ones on the shirt I am making for my son. I also plan on adding a pocket and making the shirt a little
I found that the 1T size is the best fit for my son. He is 12 months but is in the 1T size for pants, so he can still wear them for a little while. When he is in size 18m clothes he is too big. I have found that the 1T clothes last longer, and don’t seem to get worn as much as the older sizes do.
1T is a 1-year-old foot. When a 1-year-old is too small for a size 12 month, they are in a 1T. When a 1-year-old is too big for an 18-month, they are in a 1T. 1T is basically 12 months. Just a different fit from what I found. When my daughter was younger we had to use 1T when she no longer fit in size 12m cause they were too small and 18month was too big.
Also, in the past year, I have found that most brands have switched to a 1T (12 months) size. I have found that to be more accurate for my daughter. When she was younger we had to size up to a 1T in 12m because they were too snug, but she is now in 18m and is too big. I find that the 1T fits better for her.
